Fly Fishing – East Outlet Guide & Fly Shop
Learn to fly fish the East Outlet of the Kennebec River from an expert. Drift boat fishing is an experience you won’t soon forget! Each boat can accommodate 2 sports, plus your guide. We have a number of boats and are able to provide trips for larger groups as well! Low water have you worried? Not a problem! We have two rafts with row frames on them to get you down the River even in low flow conditions on the East Outlet.
What You Need: Warm clothes/layers, raingear, baseball cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, any special snacks, fishing license, and a smiling sense of adventure! Water shoes also come in handy. We provide all equipment, transportation, snacks and drinks for a half day trip, shore lunch for full day trips!
Drop down the river in a guided drift boat allowing you to achieve perfect drifts in hard to reach pools while experiencing the thrills of white water fishing at its finest. The combination of the freeboard dynamics of a drift boat, and the rowing experience of your expert Registered Maine Guide makes for a safe and pleasurable trip down the river. Here at Wilsons On Moosehead Lake we offer a variety of trips with something for everyone to love! Our most popular trips are half-day ones that run the upper Kennebec River early in the morning or later in the evening to capture the best fishing hours of the day. We also offer full day trips to Indian Pond! All trips include the necessary equipment (flies, rods, leaders, etc.) with full day trips including lunch! Don’t forget your license!

Feel free to bring along a favorite drink or snack to put in the cooler, but we’ll take care of the rest. You’ll be amazed by the peace and tranquility, while hauling in LOTS of big bass, and even see some wildlife along the way. A great trip for ALL ages. Don’t forget your camera!

Don’t know Moosehead Lake? Unsure of where to dock or the best route to take? Leave the navigating to us! Enjoy 4-6 hours of fun on the water while being escorted by a knowledgable Maine Guide. Bring a picnic lunch, stop at one of the many beaches or islands along the way, get out and explore or hike to the top of Mt. Kineo…adventure opportunities are endless and we are here to help you plan your day on Moosehead Lake, Maine.
Rates starting at $250 for a party of up to 5, with room for 10 people.
Add the hike package: $350 for a party of up to 5, with room for 10 people. ($35 each additional person over 5)
Holes drilled here in the cove at Wilsons – $50 for 5 holes (no equipment provided).

Full-day trip with lunch and equipment provided.

CAST & BLAST – Attention Sportsman:During the month of October, combine the thrills of hunting and fishing in one day! Spend the morning chasing after the abundant birds and rabbits in the area then switch gears and fly fish the world famous East Outlet of the Kennebec River for the afternoon!
Don’t forget you camera, New England is known for its unbelievable foliage that peaks September 20th – October 15th!
